Academic English: An Integrated Skills Course for EAP This course provides students with the academic skills and language needed for university study and academic research. Aimed at upper intermediate-level students of all levels, the course consists of a series of integrated skills units that develop academic language and critical thinking literacy essential in academic contexts. The course plan include eight units and 32 sessions as listed below: Unit 1 Academic orientation 6 sessions Unit 2 Lecture and seminar skills 2 sessions Unit 3 Research project and proposal 2 sessions Unit 4 Library, database and journals 2 sessions Unit 5 Research articles 8 sessions Unit 6 In-text citation and references 2 sessions Unit 7 Poster, PowerPoint and presentation 8 sessions Unit 8 Review, reflection and report 2 sessions
